Object Description

Holdcroft Majolica cheese keep which features fern fronds, and pond lily leaves and flowers. Colouration: green, white, brown, are predominant. The piece bears maker’s marks for the Holdcroft pottery. Bears a pattern number, ’36’. Book reference ,’Majolica A complete History and illustrated Survey’ by Karmason & Stacke, page 106.

Object Condition

Cover: Good. RESTORATION. Filled chips to flower finial. Base: Good. RESTORATION. Stabilised and retouched crack to the rim.
