Object Description
A Holy Land pyriform terracotta jar with a bulbous body. The vessel displays a thin and slightly flaring rim whilst the other end tapers into a flat base. During this period pottery finishing techniques improved: potters used a remarkable amount of red slip, applied by hand and smoothed with an irregular burnish.
