Hugo Lonitz Figure of a Bagpiper

Object Description

Hugo Lonitz Majolica figure which features a young man playing bagpipes, bottle in pocket. Colouration: blue, brown, yellow, are predominant. The piece bears maker’s marks for the Lonitz pottery. Bears a pattern number, ‘1337’.

Object Condition

Generally Good. RESTORATION. Filled chip to coat hem. Filled chips to cuffs. End of bagpipe and fingers remodelled. Filled chip to hat.
