This atmospheric Italian impressionistic view shows Milan Cathedral from a nearby courtyard. It was painted by Nicola Ventura, a relatively obscure but clearly quite talented Italian artist. Nicolas Ventura took part at the Exhibition of the Society of Fine Arts and at the Permanent Exhibition in Milan 1938, where he exhibited his picture “In the Studio”.
