This bronze flag, or alam, was produced in Islamic Mughal India during the 18th Century. The flag features a pierced bronze surmount wrought with Arabic script, this surmount set above a beautifully shaped stem. The piece is a fine example of its type and represents an example of interest to collectors of Indian, Mughal, and Islamic antiques.
