Object Description
A fine quality antique Italian padouk, tulipwood and kingwood parquetry inlaid marble topped bombe commode in the Louis XV Manner dating to circa 1760. This very well executed commode with finely inlaid parquetry panels has a serpentine shaped veined marble top having a moulded edge above two shaped drawers ‘sans traverse’ embellished with ornate Rococo cast brass handles and escutcheons, each drawer having parquetry inlaid panels of extremely high quality with a shaped apron and raised on cabriole legs.
