Object Description
J.E. Caldwell antique natural pearl and diamond two stone ring. Centrally set with a pair of round natural saltwater pearls, approximately 6.6 – 6.7mm, in a closed back half drilled setting, further adorned with fifty six round single cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.76 carats, to an elegant two stone design featuring millegrain edging, an intricately pierced gallery and fancy open backholing to the diamonds, an engraved floral closed back design to the pearls, the trumpeting shoulders adorned with a foliate motif, tapering to a solid D-shape shank. Tested platinum, signed ‘JEC&Co’ for J.E. Caldwell, numbered ‘G4494’, American, circa 1910, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #81306-69.
