Jewels by Jean Desprès created in the early 1930s & inspired by engine components,Jean Desprès named these pieces ‘Bijoux Moreurs’ & exhibited them at the annual Salon des Artistes Indépendants where the pieces were well received,the critics paying tribute to the power & originality of his designs.

Jean Desprès was an artisan designer & goldsmith working in Paris & subsequently in Avalon.
