This find quality card table is of typical design for French furniture during the second half of the 19th century, commonly known as the Napoleon III period. A lot of the articles from this period can be of one extreme or the other in terms of quality, construction and materials, being either be so high end that they are museum quality and one would be frightened to use them or even touch them, or on the other end of the scale being of such poor quality that they are falling apart and no longer fit for purpose.
