Object Description
A quality 19th Century Victorian pollard oak three door bookcase of large proportions.
English Circa 1850
The shaped gallery above a pollard oak veneered and mounded rectangular top containing three lockable frieze drawers separated by individual foliate design carvings.
The three glazed and moulded hinged doors, again divided by crisply carved and well executed corbels, enclosing three lipped adjustable shelves, the central door flanked by inset panels with the outer doors flanked by rounded corners.
Raised on hidden brass castors supported a plinth base with rounded corners.
Offered in excellent condition having been gently restored using traditional methods with a wonderful natural colour and patina.
Please note pollard oak is very rare to find and a sought after timber.
