Object Description
A large 19th century French elaborately carved walnut jardiniere in the Rococo style of fine patina.
This finely carved jardiniere of serpentine bombe shape consists of carved Rocaille decoration to the centre (typical Rococo shell and scrolling influences) with carved lattice design to either side with foliate decoration, the ends also with carved lattice and foliate design.
The interior having a removable painted tin liner, all supported on four scroll legs of typical French style.
The jardiniere is in very good condition for age, is of stable construction and can go straight into home etc. – it would be wonderful for floral displays or maybe as a wine cooler etc.
