Object Description
A magnificent and large cast brass early 19th century antique four light hall lantern of square form, each side housing 9 bevelled glass panes, with 4 internal light fittings, having the original chains and ceiling rose. Well cast and of excellent proportions. Once used with gas this has now been fully rewired and PAT tested. This lantern is supplied with a new mahogany ceiling pattress.
When lit this lantern casts beautiful patterns to the walls, and when it catches the sunlight it throws out a kaleidoscope of colours thanks to the facets of the glass.
Total height including chain and rose 111.5 cm. The chain can be shortened if required. Height of lantern without chain 44.5 cm.
