Object Description

A large ecclesiastical stained glass panel depicting a scene of the Good Shepherd.

Dating to circa 1890, this stained glass is housed in a modern back lit box frame to bring its array of vibrant colours to life.

The names Matthew, Mark, Luke and John accompanied by animal figures can be seen in roundels to all four corners. Each of these disciples wrote their own version of this parable in the Bible.

But the message of the Good Shepherd remains the same: Jesus is the good shepherd who was willing to die for those who put their faith in him.

Now a stunning and detailed interior feature, this stained glass would look striking in a traditional home, sympathetically decorated converted chapel or ecclesiastical building.
