Object Description
A large Egyptian steatite scarab with detailing to the obverse to showcase the head, prothorax, and elytra. The reverse features various hieroglyphs including a central ‘hes’ jar, and two flanking uraei. Beneath this register is a large central ‘kheper’, scarab sign. The amulet has been pierced longitudinally for suspension.
