(This attractive mirror is Regency, not Victorian like many large
examples that you see. The quality and execution is excellent and
it is a most unusual, useful size. Most Regency and earlier mirrors
are either tall and narrow, or low and wide, whereas this is perfect
to stand above most mantelpieces in most sized rooms adding depth
and perspective. The condition is very good for its age and the mirror
plate is almost certainly original with various signs of wear, but very
much still functional and fit for purpose)
