Object Description
A large fine quality late 19th century Japanese Meiji period bronze vase.
This large bronze vase consists of a flared rim to the top with geometric design to the edge with elephant head decoration.
This leads down to fine quality relief decoration consisting of landscape scenes of birds, trees, floral and foliate chasing with superbly cast eagle and a dragon to one side with landscape scenes with cranes to the other side and stylised elephant handles to either side.
This leads down to further floral and foliate decoration with superb dragon decoration and geometric designs below.
This vase is in good condition for age with small imperfection to rim, is of stable construction and can go straight into a home.
