Object Description
Circa 1870. Large quality mahogany Dickens writing desk. The top flanked by two Wellington type nests of drawers with locking pilasters and small polished galleried tops. The desk with two gilt tooled green leather writing surfaces flanking a central writing slope that opens to interior with satin birch drawers and pigeonholes. With two frieze and one dummy drawer. All supported on pedestals with three graduated drawers all with original wooden knobs over enclosed plinths with hidden brass castors.
