Object Description
Monumental Regence-style thirty-six light gilt bronze and crystal-cut chandelier from circa 1860. The massive central baluster stem finely cast with mascarons, arabesque ornament and acanthus leaves, issuing thirty six scrolling foliate candlearms at graduating heights. All elaborately hang with chains of cut-glass, stellar jewels, faceted pear shaped drops pendants and icicles. The lights with glass bobeche drip pans and candle sconces. The chandelier is surmounted by a anthemion cast corona and terminates in a finial ball with a diameter of 7 inches.
