Object Description
Large size 18th century Georgian mahogany tray top bedside commode of a very pleasing design. Nice shape top gallery with handle cut outs. Square legs with quarter round moulding to the corners and chamfered inner part. Top section with two cupboard doors with cock beaded edges, the base section has been converted with a nice leather top. It pulls out as two dummy drawers with cock beaded edges. Brass axe type handles. The commode is in pretty good condition and is a nice colour with waxed finish, there are the usual cracks to the sides as these seem to always have. Nice timber especially to the fronts
