Object Description

A large and heavily handcarved Victorian, medieval style oak wall hanging panel depicting a series of three panels of figurative carvings.

Formerly a fireplace overmantel, this oak panel has been repurposed as a handsome wall decor piece where it’s craftsmanship and charm can be celebrated and observed in close detail.

Figures of noble people, a pair of dragons and a grotesque head can be seen amongst the carvings, surrounded by stylised foliage.

Dating from the late 19th century, it will look stunning on the walls of a period property, in-keeping with traditional features, as well as contemporary settings where the darl oak colour will add character and interest to minimalist, neutral spaces. You can just imagine it as an impressive overmantel, head board or decorative wall art.
