A large and heavily handcarved Victorian, medieval style oak wall hanging panel depicting a series of three panels of figurative carvings.
Formerly a fireplace overmantel, this oak panel has been repurposed as a handsome wall decor piece where it’s craftsmanship and charm can be celebrated and observed in close detail.
Figures of noble people, a pair of dragons and a grotesque head can be seen amongst the carvings, surrounded by stylised foliage.
Dating from the late 19th century, it will look stunning on the walls of a period property, in-keeping with traditional features, as well as contemporary settings where the darl oak colour will add character and interest to minimalist, neutral spaces.
