Object Description
Circa 1920. A large oak frame Orkney chair probably by ‘David Kirkness’, of typical form of oat straw and marram grass, the barrel shaped oat straw back fixed to oak uprights, with a drop in marram grass seat, the arms with a stylish curled end held in place on a simple support, all standing on simple square legs with the back legs slightly out swept and all united by conforming stretchers.
