Object Description
Rich, purple scagliola and sumptuous gilt bronze combine to make these simple, chic and stylish vases, which feel as up-to-date today as they did in the 19th Century when they were first made.
The vases are of tall, slender form, with a thin necks and a flared rims, and have flecked purple scagliola bodies, made to resemble porphyry. Each vase is set on a circular gilt bronze base and mounted at either side with twin gilt bronze scrolling acanthus leaf handles.
