Object Description
A wonderful Regency period carved giltwood center table, with a grand tour Italian specimen marble inlaid circular top, the inlays including giallo di Siena, brocatello di Spagna, Verde antico, Verde Rosso, Bianco e Nero antico, and semi-precious stones including malachite, jasper, agate, aventurina, lapis lazuli, red porphyry, green porphyry, Swedish porphyry, chalcedony and alabastro fiorito in a geometric pattern.
The base supporting the top with entwined gilded snakes upon a bronzed decorated plinth, terminating in carved claw feet. Measures: 112cm (44″).
