Shanks & Co

Shanks & Co Ltd was founded by John Shanks in partnership with his brother Andrew in 1851 and quickly became an iconic British company. Based in Paisley, Scotland, together they went on to achieve worldwide success supplying and fitting sanitary ware, including on the Titanic and cruise ships Queen Mary and Queen Elizabeth.

Object Condition

Good structural condition. Minor surface wear, scuffs, scratches and small chips. Fitted with original cast iron wastes. Transports as 3 pieces. More wear to the left basin than right. One sink deeper than the other. Sink can be turned 180 degrees and positioned the other way round if desired but there is more wear to the back face.
