Object Description
A very large and highly detailed antique stained glass window circa 1900 of French or Italian origin depicting a country scene. This is one of four similar windows we are selling which could be used together in pairs or work beautifully as individual pieces.
Comprising of various rectangular panes of equal sizes, this hand-painted window details a European pastoral vista. A man with hat and cane in hand walks a path that passes beneath a large and ancient tree, leading onwards to the hills in the distance.
Standing at over 2m tall, this narrow stained glass window will make an elegant feature in an interior, usable simply as a window or as a unique room dividing panel. The glass to the reverse side is lightly etched, giving it a translucent quality for a balance of light and privacy.
