Object Description
A late 18th century (circa 1790) elm box in the form of a small chest of drawers of wonderful patina.
This unusual elm box consists of a solid elm top with moulded edge, this opening to reveal an area for storage.
This leads down to the front, consisting of three graduated dummy drawers each with a moulded edge, all with two original brass swan neck handles and original brass carrying handles to either side, supported on bracket feet.
This elm box is in very good original condition for age, is of stable construction and can go straight into a home – this would be ideal used as a coffee table or occasional table or maybe to store logs next to the fire!
