A decorative late 19th century Continental satinwood and marquetry work table, possibly Swedish.
The circular top consists of a fine quality inlaid central panel depicting cherubs travelling on a goat with bow and bead decoration to the outer edge.
The top also acts as a lid and lifts up to reveal a storage area below, the top having a key to enable it to be locked.
Below this is a satinwood frieze with a boxwood & satinwood banding leading down to the tri-form base.
The base consists of three legs inlaid with floral decoration, the flowers being secured by inlaid bows, the legs lead down to the tri-form base terminating on satinwood feet.
This table could be used as a side table or occasional table, it is in very good original condition for age and can go straight into a home.
