A late 19th century hardwood square Chinese pot stand with marble insert of excellent quality.
The marble has a reddish/pink tone and is recessed into the top, the top being of a square moulded design with carved ball decoration.
This leads down to a shaped frieze with carved floral & foliage designs, the top of each leg has the face of an open-mouthed dragon leading down to foliage carved decoration terminating with scrolls.
These lead down to a square shelf, the four legs terminating with a ball & claw foot.
This piece is in very good condition for age, is of stable construction and can go straight into a home.
