Object Description
Circa 1880. Late Victorian oak two-part open bookcase. Surmounted by a moulded and dentil-cornice, the upper bookcase is in 3 sections, flanked and divided by fluted pilasters and each with 4 adjustable fluted fronted shelves The base has a rectangular top with rounded corners and lovely mellow colour and patina. Beneath are 3 deeper bookcases each with two adjustable shelves sitting on an enclosed plinth base. A shaped and fluted pediment with a turned urn can be applied if wanted.
