Pendulum clock “Regulateur de parquet” after Jean-Henri Riesener Napoleon III, Paris, circa 1850-1880. Balthazar, Paris. This fine quality late 19th Century French long case clock by , Balthazar Paris. Having a pair of gilded ormolu cherubs atop and one beneath the white enamelled clock face with Roman numerals, an eight day duration movement that strikes on the hour and half hour on a bell. The tapering Mahogany case with classical scrolling and foliate ormolu mounts, masks, ribbons and cornucopia. The glazed door with urn, raised on four claw feet and a plinth base.
