Object Description
This George III silver scroll backed Hanoverian spoon was made in London in 1780 by Hester Bateman and measures 8 3/16 inches in length, it bears the engraved initials H over E*M to the back of the stem where it is also fully hallmarked, it has a well formed bowl with a well defined scroll to the back of it, a lovely spoon in very good condition weighing 1.75 ounces or 55 grams.
