Object Description
This super set of 12 cast and crested George II silver teaspoons and matching sugar tongs were made C1740 by Francis Harache and measure 4.5 inches in length for the spoons and 4.75 inches the tongs, they are all fashioned as stylised leaves and tendrils to both sides and to the reverse side they have an elephants head crest plus the makers mark, the tongs also have the makers mark and crest to the inside of the bowl.- the spoons are in excellent condition and the matching tongs are also in very good condition and may have an old repair which may be original to the making but it is nothing distracting, very rare to find a full set of 12 with tongs especially in such good condition weighing 7.65 ounces or 238grams.
