Object Description
A rare and exceptional quality cased French Art Deco silver plated bronze hand mirror engraved by Lucien Georges Bazor (1889-1974). This beautifully made two sided mirror is cast in Bronze with the handle decorated in relief with a naked lady from behind holding up a curtain and supporting an oval shaped mirror with a bevel cut edge. The mirror is silver plated and presented in its original fitted case. The mirror is stamped bronze to the end of the handle and signed Lucien Bazor along the end of the handle on both sides.
Lucien Georges Bazor was the Chief Engraver at the Paris Mint and studied. He was a renowned sculptor who studied under his father and under Patey at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts and won the Grand Prix de Rome in 1923.
