Object Description

A finely modelled Luristan red terracotta beaked vessel, featuring a squat body rising from a flat base and narrowing into an open mouth with a flat rim. The vessel features a prominent spout with the profile resembling a bird’s beak. A looped, zoomorphic handle in the shape of a quadruped is finely sculpted on the other side of the vessel.

Date: Circa 9th-8th century BC

Condition: Fine condition, restoration to the rim.
