Object Description

A fine Luristan spearhead blade cast from bronze featuring a leaf-shape double-edged blade. The prominent midrib, consisting of two parallel grooves, curves inwards from the corners of the blade to run centrally down the blade. The blade ends with a square-sectioned tang pierced for attachment. Mottled green, brown and blue patination is visible across the surface.

Date: Circa 1200-600 BC

Object Condition

Very fine condition, the blade has been professionally cleaned. Minor chips to the edges of the blade consistent with age.
