Object Description

An ancient Greek, miniature terracotta bell krater from the South Italian Campanian region. The vessel presents a pedestal base, which leads to a bell-shaped body. Applied handles are situated at the sides and the body has a broad everted rim. A rich, black glaze covers almost the entirety of the krater’s surface, except for an area on the underside of the base.

Date: Circa 4th century BC

Object Condition

Very fine condition, with scratches and wear to the surface. Slight dulling of glaze due to age. Minor chips to the rim.
