Object Description
This magnificent Queen Elizabeth I silver apostle spoon was made in London in 1592 by Patrick Bure and is St Thomas, it measures 7 1/8 inches in length and has a gilded apostle to the top of the stem that is well defined and sharp in detail, the spoon has a pale lemon gilding and is fully and clearly hallmarked to the back of the stem and inside the bowl with the leopards head, a superb spoon in excellent condition weighing 1.95 ounces or 60 grams.
