Object Description
Circa 1860. Magnificent, finely carved mid-Victorian pedestal sideboard in flame mahogany. The low shaped back with pomegranate and vine carvings surrounded by rococo scrolls. The top in a single sheet of flame mahogany with lovely colour and patina above a moulded frieze and supported on two pedestals with arched panel doors, with further vine and rococo carvings, flanked by shaped pilasters with rococo scrolls, opening to drawers and slides with gilded brass handles on one side and drawers and shelves on the other. All supported on enclosed plinth bases.
