Object Description
Circa 1860, exhibition quality mahogany and marquetry inlaid breakfast table. With ogee moulded and ebonised fore-edge and top smothered in finest quality British marquetry, depicting various musical instruments, flowers, arrows and swags. The apron is cross banded in walnut, and a lifting arm can lock the table top into position on the polished mahogany block. Three profusely carved walnut legs have C scrolls to the sides, finishing on brass and brown porcelain castors.
