Object Description

Majolica match striker which features a pair of boots next to a polishing brush on an oval base. Coloration: brown, black, ochre, are predominant. Bears a pattern number, ‘3’.

Object Condition

Good. Some small flakes to lower base edge. Slight wear to rim of both boots. KILN EFFECTS: a few tiny specks of kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the base. RESTORATION. Filled under rim chip to lower base edge.
