Object Description
Art Deco sapphire and diamond bow brooch by Marcus & Co. Set to centre with one round old cut diamond in an open back rubover setting with an approximate weight of 0.50 carats, flanked by a central row of French cut natural no heat sapphires, twenty eight in total in open back rubover settings with an approximate total weight of 2.50 carats, further set to top and bottom by single rows of round old cut diamonds, seventy in total in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 2.50 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 3.00 carats, to a bow brooch featuring millegrain edging, a decoratively pierced gallery with chenier detail and open backholing, fitted to reverse with a secure hinged pin and clip. Tested yellow gold and platinum, American, circa 1935, accompanied by Marcus & Co. box.
