Object Description
Circa 1810. Pair of late George III mahogany and brass bound Dutch teestoof buckets. The slightly oval shaped buckets with fine staves of well-polished mahogany, held in place by five brass straps of various sizes. The mahogany has wonderful colour and patination, each of the buckets has an oval removable brass insert, which follows the form of the bucket and a pair of brass lifting handles. Originally used as braziers for holding charcoal for making tea.
