Object Description
Mellerio Burmese sapphire and diamond coronet cluster. Set to centre with a single cushion shape natural and unenhanced Burmese sapphire in an open back claw setting, with an approximate weight of 2.80 carats, encircled by sixteen round brilliant cut diamonds in open back claws settings, with an approximate combined weight of 0.80 carats, to an impressive coronet cluster design featuring curved claws, a linear pierced gallery and circular open backholing, flanked by raised shoulders that flow through to a solid D-shape shank. Marked platinum, signed ‘MONTE PAR MELLER’ for Mellerio, French, circa 1950, accompanied by certification from Gemmological Certification Services (GCS) #5783-3640.
