Object Description
Mellerio Colombian emerald and diamond ring. Set with a central octagonal emerald-cut natural minor Colombian emerald in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 1.40 carats, flanked by forty four round brilliant cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 1.50 carats, all encircled by twenty eight rectangular baguette cut diamonds in open back half rubover settings with a combined weight of 1.50 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 3.00 carats, to a cluster of swirling form with cheniers to the openwork gallery, pierced backholing and leading through to a solid squared shank. Marked platinum, numbered 792B, signed ‘MELLERIO’, French, circa 1960, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #78155-35 and SSEF report #146637.
