Object Description
A magical vintage diamond necklace, crafted in the late 20th century but in the Edwardian style. The necklace comprises of four parts; a central ‘shield’ set with an old mine cut diamond at its heart, and three spear-shaped segments. The necklace, crafted in 18k white gold, is set with a total of 40 old cut and rose cut diamonds and demonstrates the light, lace-like metal work of the finest Edwardian jewellery. On a 16 inch platinum trace chain.
Cut – Old mine cut diamonds and rose cut diamonds
Colour – H to I.
Clarity – VS2 to SI1.
Carat – A total approximate diamond weight of 0.66 carat.
Circa – 1970.
Measurements – The three spear shaped parts are each 22.15mm long and 7.3mm at the widest point. The central shield is 15.5 x 11.3mm. The chain is 16 inches.
Weight – 6.40 grams.
Metal –The pendant is 18k white gold and the chain is platinum. Tested.
