Object Description
Circa 1860. The generous sized mid-Victorian mahogany two part brass bound military chest, with elegant quarter brass brackets to the top with brass strapping on all the corners, the front with a configuration of four full length drawers, each with a large stylish brass escutcheon and a pair of flush brass military handles. Above each of the drawers there is a small brass plate (to reinforce the lock), and the original ‘P&R Walkers’ locks. The inside of the drawers are lined in ash and sycamore, another unusual feature is the bottom section has a pair of flush brass military lifting handles, all resting on classic squat bun feet.
