Object Description
Circa 1860 with adaptations. Mid Victorian figured-walnut tall, three-section open bookcase. Surmounted by a classical moulded (“cushion”) Victorian cornice above a beaded frieze in figured walnut. The three bookcase sections, each has five adjustable shelves with walnut facings and are flanked and separated by figured walnut columns. The base with a moulded fore-edge, with three drawers with panelled walnut fronts and original turned wooden knobs. All sitting on a moulded and enclosed plinth base. In excellent condition with a mellow golden colour.
