Middle Bronze Age Palstave with Fine Patina

Object Description

A huge finely patinated Middle Bronze Age heavy cast palstave axe. The axe features flanged wings on both sides with the blade tapering towards an expanding, slightly convex cutting edge. The bronze is smooth and covered by a beautiful dark olive-green patina.
