Minton Majolica Foxglove Vase

Object Description

Minton Majolica vase which features foxglove flowers and leaves in deep relief. Colouration: cobalt blue, green, white, are predominant. The piece bears maker’s marks for the Minton pottery. Bears a pattern number, ‘1757’. Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1874.

Object Condition

Generally Good. KILN EFFECT: craze line to the interior. RESTORATION. Filled chips to the leaves. Filled chips to the rim. Stabilised and retouched hairline to the base. Stabilised and retouched crack to rim. Filled chips to flowers.
