Object Description

Minton Majolica game pie dish with liner which features a hunting dog asleep next to a gun, a powder flask and a game bag. Colouration: cream, green, brown, are predominant. The piece bears maker’s marks for the Minton pottery. Bears a pattern number, ‘964’.

Cover: Very Good. No restoration. KILN EFFECTS: small firing pit to rim. Base: Very Good. No restoration. Small retouched flake to rim. KILN EFFECTS: a few specks of kiln grit caught in the glaze to the interior. Liner: Very good. No restoration.
